And then I end up web searching various ethno-botanical items. One advantage of the current situation is I'll get to have a garden again. It's been too long since I've gotten to grow herbs and flowers and hot peppers.

I truly do admire a man who can grow from seed. My garden is doing quite well, but only transplants. The one plant that grew for me from seed (Morning Glory) was an accident. I had given up on it and planted something else in its spot when, lo and behold, it emerged anyway. I haven't tried much herb growth, aside from yarrow (which the rabbits devour like crazy). I'm more about blossoms. :)

Rosemary, various oreganos (including ditanny), dahlias, asters, portulaca,
peppers, basil, yarrow, and that's just for starters. It'll be seed catalog
time this February. I'm finding my self fascinated by web pages of various
heirloom and uncommon things, perhaps I'll replace the old peony and put
in some roses and poppies.
